Who gets Wyndham Wi-Fi free

  • Wyndham Rewards lists “free WiFi during your stay” as a member benefit. Joining is free.
  • The member-level terms give Blue members, and so every level above, free basic Wi-Fi at participating hotels, subject to availability.
  • Hotels without wireless internet may provide wired high-speed internet instead. Hotels with no internet at all don’t take part in this benefit.
  • Wyndham’s member-levels page shows the free Wi-Fi perk under Blue, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Titanium.
  • Benefits apply during qualified stays, free-night stays and Points + Cash stays at participating hotels. Not every participating hotel offers every benefit.

Tips

Before you check in

  1. 1

Join Wyndham Rewards before you arrive. Front desk staff can also enrol you at check-in or at any time during your stay.

  2. 2

If you need faster Wi-Fi, ask the front desk what the hotel charges for it. Wyndham doesn’t publish a price.

  3. 3

Points only count on stays booked direct, not through third-party websites, so book on Wyndham’s site or app.

  4. 4

Brands vary. ECHO Suites says standard Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel and upgraded Wi-Fi may cost extra.

In the hotel with Kilobat

Make a shared hotel link go further

Kilobat is a Mac menu-bar app that shows what each app sends and holds back what can wait. On Wyndham Wi-Fi in the hotel:

  • The sign-in page. When it doesn’t open by itself, the menu bar says This Wi-Fi wants you to sign in, with Open sign-in page. Turn your VPN on again after you’ve signed in. Free
  • Why it can’t connect. When a VPN, iCloud Private Relay or custom DNS hides the sign-in page, Kilobat names the layer that broke: VPN, DNS or the network. Free
  • See what’s using it. Every app’s upload and download, live in the menu bar, so you know which one is taking the shared link. Free
  • Logged out again. Kilobat learns how long sign-ins last on this network and warns you about five minutes before the next logout. Pro
  • Keep the slow tier for work. Mark the network Metered, and with automatic switching the Travel profile keeps backups and updaters off it while your apps keep working. Pro
