Hotel Wi-Fi guide

Step by step
Hyatt says the sign-on process for its free Wi-Fi varies by hotel. Seamless Wi-Fi skips it after a one-time setup.
Get online first, using mobile data, home Wi-Fi or the hotel’s standard guest network.
In the World of Hyatt app, go to Account > Profile > Settings > Hotel Wi-Fi and choose Set Up Passpoint.
Without the app, members and non-members can request a profile at signup.wifi.hyatt.com, where available.
At participating hotels, your device then joins HyattPasspoint on its own, with no portal sign-in.
Hyatt says the profile uses encrypted, certificate-based access, so it’s safer than an open guest network. The wording in the app varies by device.

Tips
Set up the Passpoint profile at home before you travel. Hyatt says it’s the fastest way to connect.
Ask before you buy premium access. Hyatt says any premium fee is disclosed and goes on your hotel bill.
For meetings, ask the hotel. Hyatt’s free Wi-Fi didn’t extend to meeting rooms when it launched.
Connectivity hell
World of Hyatt has fewer than 3 public Wi-Fi complaints in the last 90 days, so it isn’t ranked. These hotel chains have the most public Wi-Fi complaints in the last 30 days, as of 5 November 2026.
In the hotel with Kilobat
Kilobat is a Mac menu-bar app that shows what each app sends and holds back what can wait. On Hyatt Wi-Fi in the hotel:
brew install seifip/kilobat/kilobatPro is $29 once for two Macs, with a 7-day free trial and 14-day refunds. More in hotel Wi-Fi login on a Mac.
What is eating your bandwidth? Live traffic for every app, right in your menu bar. Catch the backup choking your call.
Hotspot data gone in an hour? Travel blocks backups, and updaters wait until you’re off the hotspot. The apps keep working.
Yes, for every guest. Hyatt says you don’t need to be a World of Hyatt member or book direct.
The network Hyatt’s Seamless Wi-Fi uses. After a one-time setup, supported devices join it automatically at participating hotels.
Sometimes. Hyatt says premium access may be offered for a disclosed fee, depending on the hotel and your World of Hyatt eligibility.
World of Hyatt names its network HyattPasspoint. Join it, then sign in on the page that opens.
Hyatt doesn’t publish a VPN rule.
A VPN, iCloud Private Relay or your own DNS can keep the page from opening. Turn them off, open http://captive.apple.com in Safari, and turn the VPN on again after you’ve signed in. Kilobat shows Open sign-in page when a network is waiting for you.
