Playing on a Mac
- Open Luna in a supported desktop browser. Check Amazon’s compatible-device page for current browser versions.
- Plug in or use 5 GHz Wi-Fi. A Mac on 2.4 GHz shares a slower, busier band.
- Check the connection before you play.
- Pause AirDrop and background uploads. Kilobat flags both while you play, pauses AirDrop in one click, and with Pro can hold supported sync apps.
How Kilobat helps

Luna runs in a browser tab, so Activity Monitor only shows the browser. Kilobat notices the session when a steady one-way game stream comes into the browser while it talks to luna.amazon, which it names from its network filter or reverse DNS, and measures the browser’s game-like traffic. Another busy tab can affect that estimate.
- Live: ping, jitter, loss, bitrate and data, with AirDrop, 2.4 GHz, a weak signal and busy apps flagged as they happen.
- On a hotspot: the data an hour, where the session is heading and when your budget runs out.

Why does Luna stutter when nothing else seems to be running?
On a Mac, Photos, iCloud Drive, Time Machine and updates upload and download in the background, and AirDrop pulls the Wi-Fi radio off channel to scan. Kilobat names whichever was running when it stuttered.
