Shadow streams a whole Windows PC to a Mac app for Intel and Apple silicon, or to a Chromium browser. Shadow recommends at least 15 Mbps and Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Kilobat watches the stream while you play or work and names what on the Mac gets in its way.

## Internet speed

What Shadow says as of November 2026. Shadow doesn’t publish speeds per resolution or data per hour.

## Playing on a Mac

- **The Mac app** needs macOS 10.15 or later, with one download for Intel Macs and one for Apple silicon.
- **In a browser,** open pc.shadow.tech in a Chromium-based browser such as Chrome or Edge, with nothing to install.
- **Use Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi,** as Shadow recommends.
- **Pause AirDrop and background uploads** before a long session. Kilobat flags both, pauses AirDrop in one click, and with Pro can hold supported sync apps.

Kilobat notices Shadow in its Mac app by the app itself, over UDP or TCP, and at pc.shadow.tech once the browser is talking to Shadow while its stream comes in.
