Put your phone into flight mode. 2. Connect to the `SWISS Connect` Wi-Fi on board. 3. The SWISS Connect portal opens automatically. On Lufthansa Group Wi-Fi, turn on airplane mode, connect to the `Lufthansa Group Wi-Fi` network and open its portal. Sign in with Travel ID or your Miles & More service card number. To check whether your flight has SWISS Connect, see SWISS’s flight status page or your booking in the SWISS app. **Kilobat** SWISS Connect This Wi-Fi wants you to sign in Open sign-in page ### Sign-in page didn’t open? On short-haul flights, and on some long-haul aircraft, you log in with Travel ID or Miles & More. - SWISS First guests get free internet on SWISS-operated flights. - On short- and medium-haul flights, HON Circle members and SWISS First guests get free internet when they log in with Miles & More or Travel ID. First on the A320neo HB-JDM, with the whole SWISS fleet due by the end of 2029. - ### [European Aviation Network](https://kilobat.app/in-flight-wifi/european-aviation-network) The provider runs: Geostationary satellite · Air-to-ground towers Chosen by the Lufthansa Group in January 2024 for SWISS’s A220 and A320-family aircraft, fitted from late 2024 over about two years. SWISS calls the service SWISS Connect. All SWISS long-haul aircraft have SWISS Connect, and it is being rolled out across the short-haul fleet. SWISS doesn’t name the provider of its long-haul Wi-Fi. Lufthansa Group Wi-Fi began on the A320neo HB-JDM on 28 September 2026. Three A320-family aircraft come first, then the rest of the fleet by the end of 2029. On SWISS Wi-Fi: - **The sign-in page.** When it doesn’t open by itself, the menu bar says **This Wi-Fi wants you to sign in**, with **Open sign-in page**. Turn your VPN on after you’ve signed in. - **Mark it metered.** macOS treats plane Wi-Fi as unlimited. Mark it **Metered** in Kilobat’s Wi-Fi & Bluetooth menu or with `kilobat networks cost metered`, and Kilobat skips its own speed tests. If automatic switching is enabled, it switches to Travel. - **Updates wait.** With Pro, paused updaters enabled and the network filter on, macOS Software Update, App Store downloads, Google Updater and Microsoft AutoUpdate wait for an unmetered network. The apps keep working. - **See what’s using it.** Every app’s upload and download, live in the menu bar, so a messaging-only plan isn’t spent on a sync you forgot. - **Send later.** A big upload, such as Dropbox syncing a folder, shows as a row with its speed. With Pro, **Send later** can hold it until you’re on unmetered Wi-Fi again, for up to eight hours while Kilobat is open. - **Know what’s slow.** Health shows latency and loss, and with Pro their history through the flight. Full internet is free in SWISS First and for HON Circle members, and for Miles & More and Travel ID users on Lufthansa Group Wi-Fi aircraft. **Can I make calls on SWISS Wi-Fi?** Not on Lufthansa Group Wi-Fi. SWISS asks guests to make no voice or video calls and not to broadcast live content. You may follow a meeting or webinar with headphones. **What is the SWISS Wi-Fi network called?** Swiss International Air Lines names its Wi-Fi network `SWISS Connect`. Join it, then sign in on the page that opens. **Can you stream on SWISS Wi-Fi?** SWISS says Wi-Fi Premium suits social media, browsing, audio streaming and VPN services. It doesn’t mention video. Turn them off, open `http://captive.apple.com` in Safari, and turn the VPN on again after you’ve signed in.
