# Hawaiian Airlines Wi-Fi

Hawaiian Airlines says its aircraft on North American and international routes have Starlink. It is free for Atmos Rewards members. Neighbour-island flights have no Wi-Fi.

Provider

[Starlink](https://kilobat.app/in-flight-wifi/starlink-aviation)

Network

See connection instructions below; the network name may depend on the aircraft.

Free

Starlink Wi-Fi is free for Atmos Rewards members, thanks to T-Mobile.

**Checked 1 November 2026.** Prices and policies as of November 2026.

## Who provides it

- **[Starlink](https://kilobat.app/in-flight-wifi/starlink-aviation)**

Airbus A321neo and A330 aircraft, which fly to and from Hawaiʻi. The Boeing 717 on neighbour-island flights has no Wi-Fi.

## What’s free

- Starlink Wi-Fi is free for **Atmos Rewards** members, thanks to T-Mobile. Since mid-July 2026 you must be a member to get online. Joining is free, before or during travel.
- Guests under 18 get free Wi-Fi after entering their reservation details.

As of November 2026.

## Prices

There is no paid Wi-Fi plan in Hawaiian’s announcements. The Wi-Fi is free for members, and neighbour-island flights have none.

As of November 2026.

## Streaming and calls

Hawaiian says Starlink is suitable for working, streaming video and gaming, including over the Pacific. The June 2026 announcement quotes speeds up to 500 Mbps.

## VPNs

Hawaiian doesn’t publish a VPN rule.

## Which planes have it

Starlink is on the whole Airbus fleet: 18 A321neo and 24 A330 aircraft, which fly between the islands and North America, Asia and Oceania. The Boeing 717, used on short neighbour-island flights, won’t get it. Equipped aircraft carry a Starlink decal by the main door.

## How to connect

1. Connect to the onboard Wi-Fi to open the inflight portal.
2. Sign in to Atmos Rewards, or sign up, in a few taps. Existing members can be connected automatically.
3. Under 18? Enter your reservation details instead.

Until mid-2026 Hawaiian’s Starlink was open to every guest without registration. The Atmos Rewards sign-in replaced that.

## On board with Kilobat

Kilobat is a Mac menu-bar app that shows what each app sends and holds back what can wait. On a plane:

- **The sign-in page.** When it doesn’t open by itself, the menu bar says **This Wi-Fi wants you to sign in**, with **Open sign-in page**. Turn your VPN on after you’ve signed in.
- **Mark it metered.** macOS treats plane Wi-Fi as unlimited. Mark it **Metered** in Kilobat’s Wi-Fi menu or with `kilobat networks cost metered`, and Kilobat skips its own speed tests. If automatic switching is enabled, it switches to Travel.
- **Updates wait.** With Pro, paused updaters enabled and the network filter on, macOS Software Update, App Store downloads, Google Updater and Microsoft AutoUpdate wait for an unmetered network. The apps keep working.
- **See what’s using it.** Every app’s upload and download, live in the menu bar, so a messaging-only plan isn’t spent on a sync you forgot.
- **Send later.** A big upload, such as Dropbox syncing a folder, shows as a row with its speed. With Pro, **Send later** can hold it until you’re on unmetered Wi-Fi again, for up to eight hours while Kilobat is open.
- **Know what’s slow.** Health shows latency and loss, and with Pro their history through the flight. Those measurements can help you investigate a slow connection. When Slack or Zoom won’t load, [Is it them or me?](https://kilobat.app/is-it-down) reads the service’s status page.

## Questions

**Is there Wi-Fi on Hawaiian’s inter-island flights?**

Yes, for Atmos Rewards members, thanks to T-Mobile. Membership is free, and guests under 18 can use their reservation details.
