# Vodafone slow internet in Germany: tests, evidence and complaints

If your Vodafone connection is slow or unreliable, start with these equipment checks. Then document a repeatable result and ask for a specific investigation.

Applies to: Vodafone Station models by Technicolor (CGA6444VF, CGA4233DE), whose web interfaces match (menus as of 2026). The CommScope TG6442VF and Arris TG3442DE menus differ. The model name is on the back of the box. Labels are given in German with an English gloss. · Checked: 3 November 2026

## When this helps

- You use Vodafone in Germany.
- Your connection is slower than expected, drops out or performs badly at certain times.

## Check your Vodafone Station

These checks apply to Vodafone Station. Check the model before following its menus.

1. Sign in and open **Status & Hilfe › Status** to check connection details.
2. Click **DOCSIS-Status** for the cable downstream and upstream channels.
3. Click **Ereignisprotokoll** (Event log) for events the box recorded.
4. In **Experten-Modus**, **Diagnose** offers ping, traceroute and a DNS test.

Do not factory-reset the equipment as a first step. A reset can erase service settings and interrupt phone service.

1. Compare a wired connection to the router with Wi-Fi on the same device.
2. Repeat the same test server during the slowdown and at a quieter time.
3. Record download, upload, latency and whether another household device was using the connection.

## How to complain to Vodafone

Use [Vodafone’s official support](https://www.vodafone.de/hilfe/router/station.html) to report the fault. Request a formal complaint reference if it remains unresolved.

Include the plan wording, dates, test conditions, previous references and the specific outcome you want. Ask for a written response.
