# LG U+ slow internet in South Korea: tests, evidence and complaints

If your LG U+ connection is slow or unreliable, start with these equipment checks. Then document a repeatable result and ask for a specific investigation.

Applies to: Paths checked in LG U+’s own manuals for the GAPK-8100 (2025) and GAPD-7500R (2024); the GAPM-7500R manual shows the same menus as the GAPD-7500R. Mesh steps are from the MAPK-1000 manual. The GAPK-8100 has a 6 GHz band and an MLO network that the 7500R models lack. · Checked: 3 November 2026

## Check your U+ 와이파이 공유기

These checks apply to U+ 와이파이 공유기. Check the model before following its menus.

1. Sign in and open **상태정보 › 인터넷 연결 정보** (Internet connection information). It refreshes every ten seconds.
2. It shows the connection state, external IP address, gateway, DNS servers and Wi-Fi channels.
3. **상태정보 › 네트워크 통계** (Network statistics) shows traffic and errors for each port.
4. **상태정보 › 시스템 로그** (System log) lists events. Click **로그 저장** (Save log) to keep a copy.

## Separate the service from your home Wi-Fi

Do not factory-reset the equipment as a first step. A reset can erase service settings and interrupt phone service.

1. Compare a wired connection to the router with Wi-Fi on the same device.
2. Repeat the same test server during the slowdown and at a quieter time.
3. Record download, upload, latency and whether another household device was using the connection.

## How to complain to LG U+

Use [LG U+’s official support](https://www.lguplus.com/support/online/faq) to report the fault. Request a formal complaint reference if it remains unresolved.

Include the plan wording, dates, test conditions, previous references and the specific outcome you want. Ask for a written response.

Check the complaints procedure in your South Korea service contract before escalating. Use the national regulator’s consumer guidance for your service.
