# Slow internet complaint letter: a template with the evidence to attach

A useful complaint says what happened, how you tested it and what you want the provider to do next. You can use this template without any app.

Applies to: Home internet on Windows, macOS, phones and tablets. No Kilobat account or app required. · Checked: 3 November 2026

## When this helps

- Support keeps asking you to repeat the same checks.
- You need a written record of an unresolved speed or reliability issue.

## Prepare a small evidence pack

1. Copy the relevant plan speed wording and the date of your agreement.
2. List the affected dates and times, plus the impact on calls, work or downloads.
3. Attach a few comparable results with device, connection type and test-server details.
4. Include previous fault references and the provider’s replies.

## Copy and adapt this complaint

> Subject: Formal complaint about slow or unreliable internet
>
> Hello, I am raising a formal complaint about my internet service.
>
> The problem started on [date]. I experience [symptom] at [times]. It affects [activity].
>
> My plan states [exact speed wording]. My tests show [results and units] on [dates and times].
>
> I tested using [device], connected by [Ethernet or Wi-Fi], with [test service]. Background traffic and VPN use were [details].
>
> I have already tried [checks]. My previous support references are [references].
>
> Please investigate the service and explain how these results compare with my plan. I am requesting [repair, explanation or another specific outcome].
>
> Please confirm the complaint reference, your next steps and when I should expect a written update.
>
> Thank you, [name]

## Send only what the recipient needs

Use your provider’s official complaint channel. Include account details only when that channel requires them.

Before sharing evidence publicly or with Kilobat, remove account numbers, passwords, private hostnames and unrelated personal information.

## If the provider does not resolve it

Keep the complaint date and written responses. The next route depends on your country, service and provider.

Choose the relevant [local complaint guide](https://kilobat.app/internet-problems#rights). A regulator, ombudsman and dispute-resolution body can have different roles.

## Still stuck?

You can ask for help at [ping@kilobat.app](https://kilobat.app/internet-problems#ask). Send your symptoms and reviewed test results, with or without Kilobat.
